Where should i learn php/mysql?
Posted by mystycs, 03-04-2010, 04:11 PM Does anyone know of good books or videos to learn php/mysql from beginner to an intermediate level? What would be the best video or books out there to learn? Thanks
Posted by DiegoRBaquero, 03-04-2010, 04:22 PM I first learned using PHP for dummies, then I got a book, though it is in spanish. You should use both web sites and books. w3schools.com is very useful

Posted by Capricorn, 03-04-2010, 05:23 PM Most important thing I would say is making sure you follow the examples and experiment yourself. Just reading can work if you are already familiar with a programming language, esp one like perl and if you already know sql.

Posted by Capricorn, 03-05-2010, 12:09 PM I have experience with lynda kind of by accident. I set up a multi set account for some photographers and took charge of the admin account as a result. Anyway, I think it's great if you want to learn something like quickbooks or photoshop, but for programming I would have very low expectations.
