Posted by Alex, 09-12-2007, 10:19 PM Do you have a separate /var and /usr? If not, then user MySQL databases are most likely taking up space (/var). The / partition usually consists of /root and /etc, as well as a few others depending on how your system was setup. If /var is on the / partition, try deleting a few old logs. Also clear out /root, and check and see if there are lots of old source files in /usr/local/src and /usr/src (provided /usr is on your / partition). Or, if you have extra space on the drive, you might be able to recreate /var as a separate partition (I'm not exactly sure on how you do this, but it is sometimes possible). Alex

Posted by tanfwc, 09-13-2007, 10:16 AM there must be alot of files in /root clear them up and you should not have any issues.
Posted by activa, 09-13-2007, 12:48 PM if i delete all the files in this partition , there are no probleme in the system files ? i will not break the server !!!
Posted by tanfwc, 09-13-2007, 02:07 PM wait, I did not ask you do delete all the files in there. You might have download huge files or other stuff on /root, I ask you to clear them up by deleting unwanted files that you have download. Sorry that you mis-understand my words
Posted by Jeremy, 09-13-2007, 08:15 PM go into / type du -sh /* exclude the mounts and find what folders that might be taking up space. If you dont know what to delete find someone that will help.

Posted by Jeremy, 09-13-2007, 11:21 PM If that was the case, you might need to update your php.ini to the new location.
