Making own CPANEL - CGI?PHP?ASP?

Hi, I am looking into getting a server but before I do that I am wanting to be able to code, maybe at only a basic level but so I am able to customise its features. If i was wanting to make my own CPanel or scripts for the server what code language would it be, sorry my only coding knowledge is HTMl but I want to improve this. Thanks for your time. Tom

Just google for "open source control panel" and you will find a number of free and open source control panels. You can study their source code or maybe contribute to their development.

Ah...Brilliant. Sounds a good way of doing that, as means still customizable but likely to be secure and compatible as its been developed. Thanks for that, much appreciated. Tom
